Subject:"Using the Internet for Genealogy"

Speaker: Donna Young

Donna Dugle Young began researching her family shortly after moving to Grass Valley from Los Gatos fourteen years ago. She is an active member of both Nevada County and Placer County Genealogical Societies. She was the leader and lecturer at the weekly meetings of Grass Roots Genealogy Group for over six years. Donna has introduced many, many beginners to genealogy over the past twelve years through classes and at area seminars. She and her husband Ron are volunteers at the Family History Center in Nevada City. Donna is in charge of their book collection, which is a combination of about one thousand books belonging to Grass Roots, NCGS and the FHC. The Young's have made numerous research trips to Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, West Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina in their 19 foot RV, researching in the areas where their ancestors lived as early as 1630. Donna and Ron recently returned from a trip to Ireland where they both had ancestors.
