Subject:"Carved in Stone; Tips for Successful Cemetery Research"
Cemetery and related records are a cornerstone of genealogical research. Some questions can only be answered at the cemetery. Types of cemeteries will be discussed and the clues they yield. Learn the safe way to prepare a tombstone rubbing, the art of transferring the design of a gravestone onto another medium. Rubbings are important documents as well as beautiful works of art. Sometimes they are the only remaining evidence of the detailed work of the old stone carvers.

Speaker: Pamela Dallas

Pam Dallas is a local, regional and national speaker. She has appeared on local television and radio talk shows and has written for and appeared in several genealogy instructional videos aired on local television.

She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, Genealogical Speakers Guild, National Genealogical Society and several local societies. She is the regional director of the CA State Genealogical Alliance.
