Speaker: John Jay, Retired Banker, Member of Root Cellar, Sacramento, CA.
John Jay is a retired banker who worked during a period of time when bankers were respected members of the community. He always had a slight interest in genealogy, because his name is famous in United States history and he was always asked if he was related. His real interest began in late 1992 after the death of his father, when he found an old suitcase filled with memorabilia and genealogical information about his surname family. John did not know that this suitcase existed until that time. In 1998 John he his first genealogy class from Glenda Lloyd and has had the bug since.
